Arsenal will be counting on their formidable home strength this Sunday as they host newly promoted side Aston Villa.
The Gunners had a blistering return to European football destroying Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on Thursday as manager Unai Emery made seven changes to the side that drew 2-2 to Watford.
Emery will be delighted by the performance of his academy players who had a big night in Germany with 18-year old Bukayo Saka putting in a man of the match shift netting a goal and producing 2 asssits.
Pierre Emerick- Aubameyang will however be the star player to watch. He has produced a goal or assist in all five of the opening gameweeks.
Calum Chambers could make a return to the back four after the defensive calamities of David Luiz and Sokratis costed Arsenal valuable points away at Vicarage Road.
The visitors already have success in their previous visit to North London beating Tottenham on the first game of the season. They have failed to capitalize on that win drawing 0-0 with West Ham on Monday despite playing against 10 men.
Matt Target is back from injury with Villa welcoming Egyptian sensation Trezeguet from suspension hoping he will add more quality to their attack.
Dean Smith’s side will however have to be faultless at the Emirates if they are to pick up a point at Arsenal’s fortress.
Head to Head:
Arsenal have won the last 5 meetings by an aggregate score of 18-0.
